Human & Sex Trafficking Prevention Policy

Last updated: 22 December 2025

Purpose and Commitment

Privr is committed to maintaining a safe platform and strictly prohibits all forms of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, grooming, forced or coerced activities, and any conduct that facilitates or promotes trafficking networks. Privr does not tolerate attempts to use the platform to recruit, advertise, exploit, or target individuals for any form of coerced, non-consensual, or commercialized sexual activity. We actively work to detect, prevent, and report trafficking-related behavior in accordance with applicable laws and industry best practices.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

The following activities are explicitly forbidden on Privr and result in immediate enforcement action, including permanent removal and, when appropriate, escalation to law enforcement:

  • Grooming, coercion, or manipulation;

  • Recruitment into escorting, commercial sex, or exploitative relationships;

  • Attempts to traffic, exploit, or control another person;

  • Offering financial incentives to persuade or pressure someone into sexual conduct;

  • Arranging travel, housing, or transportation for sexual services;

  • Any conduct suggesting force, threats, blackmail, extortion, or intimidation;

  • Attempts to move users off-platform for exploitative or commercial sexual activity.

Any user believed to be involved in trafficking behavior may be removed without prior notice.

Indicators Privr Monitors For

Privr uses a combination of automated systems, safety tools, and trained human moderators to identify potential indicators of trafficking or exploitation. Examples include:

  • Repeated attempts to recruit users for paid or coerced sexual activity;

  • Coordinated or scripted interactions indicative of organized networks;

  • Users appearing under duress, fearful, or controlled by another person;

  • Use of another individual’s identity or documentation;

  • Third parties instructing someone what to say or do on camera;

  • Age-inconsistent appearance or attempts to disguise apparent minority;

  • Mentions of “allowances,” “arrangements,” or travel-for-sex arrangements;

  • Attempts to direct users to external escort, prostitution, or adult-service platforms.

These indicators do not automatically mean trafficking is occurring, but they trigger enhanced review by Privr’s Trust & Safety team.

Reporting Concerns

Any user who suspects trafficking, exploitation, or coercive behavior should immediately report it using the reporting options within the Privr app or website. Reports are prioritized and reviewed by specialized Trust & Safety personnel trained to assess high-risk situations. Users should report:

  • Another user attempting to recruit them;

  • Signs of coercion, fear, manipulation, or pressure;

  • Suspected minors or age-inconsistent behavior;

  • Any unsafe or exploitative situations witnessed on camera or in chat;

  • Links, QR codes, or handles connected to escorting or commercial sexual activity.

Privr strongly encourages users to include as much detail as possible in the report.

Privr’s Response to Reports

When Privr receives a trafficking-related report, we may take actions including:

  • Immediate suspension or removal of accounts;

  • Device or phone number banning;

  • Temporary preservation of evidence;

  • Enhanced safety review by senior moderation staff;

  • Reversing random-match access for identified high-risk users;

  • Blocking related accounts or coordinated groups.

Privr treats all trafficking-related allegations with urgency and seriousness.

Cooperation With Law Enforcement

Privr may preserve and disclose information to law enforcement or other competent authorities when required by law or when necessary to protect individual or public safety. This includes situations involving:

  • Child exploitation;

  • Human trafficking;

  • Coercion, extortion, or threats;

  • Missing persons investigations;

  • Imminent harm or safety risks.

Privr evaluates each legal request for validity and ensures that only the information required by law is disclosed. Privr is not an investigative agency and does not act as law enforcement but cooperates fully as legally mandated.

User Safety and Prevention Measures

To prevent exploitation and trafficking, Privr maintains:

  • Strict prohibitions against prostitution, escorting, and transactional sexual conduct;

  • Prohibitions against linking, advertising, or directing users to escort or adult-service sites;

  • Moderation tools and automated systems to identify high-risk behavior;

  • Human moderators trained to assess and escalate potential trafficking cases;

  • Age requirements and jurisdiction-based verification when legally required;

  • Procedures for rapid removal of minors, coerced participants, or unsafe users.

Privr continuously reviews and updates safety systems to stay aligned with emerging risks and enforcement standards.

Guidance for Users

Users should:

  • Decline any request that seems coercive, manipulative, or financially motivated;

  • Avoid sharing contact information with strangers;

  • Report any interactions that feel unsafe;

  • Immediately end any call or match that becomes concerning;

  • Contact local authorities in situations involving imminent danger.

Your safety is always the priority.

No Retaliation and Reporter Privacy

Privr does not disclose reporter identities to other users. Privr may limit the details shared in moderation notices to prevent retaliation, evasion, or interference with investigations.

Updates to This Policy

Privr may update this policy as legal requirements evolve or as new safety threats emerge. Substantial changes will be publicly communicated.
